Information privacy

What kind of personal data is processed and stored? Your IP address is the only information that is processed and stored that is considered personal data by the General Data Protection Regulation. Why is that data stored? The IP address is stored in log files with additional information about the corresponding web request. These files are used to analyze suspicious web requests and debug errors in the application. Furthermore, the IP address is stored when using the “hot or not” feature. This prevents miscounts and misuse of the feature. Can you identify me with this data? Even though the data is considered personal data by the General Data Protection Regulation, I can not identify any person with this data alone. This data would need to be aggregated with data from your internet service provider to draw conclusions about your person. This naturally only happens during criminal prosecution. How long is that data stored? Since the IP address is needed for the “hot or not” feature to work, the personal data is stored permanently. Who is responsible for the data? Please see the note at the top of this page. What do you do to protect my privacy? The web server is located in the European Union. The data is not being sold or shared with any third-party. No Google AdSense, no Google Fonts, no Google Analytics, no third-party-cookies. I don't collect any data that I don't specifically need. What else do I need to know? In principle, you have the right to request me to delete or correct the data and to provide information about your personal data. But I can not identify which data belongs to you. In this special case the General Data Protection Regulation allows me to reject your request. You can withdraw consent to process your personal data at any time. You have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Providing personal data is not required by law nor a contractual requirement. If you don't provide your personal data you may not be able to use all the features of this website.
